Marissa Wong

Hi everyone! My name is Marissa Wong, and this is my first year at Framingham State University in the MAIPSE program. This semester, I’m taking Fashion:Design to Consumer, and I’ve been enjoying learning about fashion design for the first time. I graduated from Wayland High School last year and am excited to continue learning in a new environment. I have a twin sister, Melody, and an older sister, Crystal, and we live together with our parents. I am Asian and speak a little Cantonese. Outside of school, I love cooking and baking, especially Chinese dishes. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies, and I’ve been part of cooking clubs and culinary classes. While I’m still exploring career options, I know cooking will always be something I enjoy doing. I recently started my internship at the Chris Walsh Center and am looking forward to learning new things and meeting new people at FSU!

Hey, I'm Laila Jenkins. I'm an undergraduate student studying psychology. After graduation I hope to work in the Psych/social work field helping people get connected to the resources they need. As a resident assistant and president of the Black student union I've been able to see the different ways that people like to be helped. At the Chris Walsh Center I hope to not only be a resource for parents and teachers short term, but give them the tools to make lasting impacts in and out of the classroom. My main goal in life is to help people and support others when challenges arise in any way that I can. I feel that helping others always starts with the mental health of individuals and communities.
